Changes to the PointDash Platform

On 25 August, we announced the release of the next generation of PointDash—and we couldn’t be more excited! This is the biggest update we’ve ever made to PointDash.

As we roll out this update, there are some important changes you’ll need to make to ensure uninterrupted access to PointDash and to streamline the migration for your school. Our team will be here to support you every step of the way.

The new PointDash will be enabled for all customers on 6 October 2025. From this date, all links to the current PointDash will automatically redirect to the new platform (including Acenci ID, which is moving to Acenci Account).

There will be a scheduled maintenance period from 28 September to 5 October 2025 (during the second week of the upcoming school holidays) as we finalize the upgrade and migrate customers. You may experience outages during this time.

Domain Name Changes

As part of this upgrade, we’re introducing new subdomains. Please ensure your school’s firewall allows these domains. We recommend sharing this information with your technical team.

We recommend keeping the current domains unblocked during the transition for the best user experience.

All our services only accept HTTPS connections (TCP port 443). Any HTTP (TCP 80) requests will automatically upgrade to HTTPS.
For the best experience, we recommend allowing both HTTP and HTTPS on your school’s firewall.

User Password Changes

To enhance security and privacy, current user passwords will not be migrated to the new Acenci platform. While we understand this may be inconvenient, this change allows us to provide a more secure experience.

To access your account in Acenci Account for the first time, simply reset your password using the “Forgot my password” option on the sign-in page.
